I'm quitting my job :D

I'm slowly going through my backlog of notifications so there will be some fav spamming going on 
Deviantart Eclipse seems a little awkward to navigate so it's taking me a while to get through everything.
As mentioned in the title I am in fact quitting my job to go and study software development for the next 2 years. Hopefully this change in my life will also give me more energy and motivation to continue producing more art more frequently (I do still have 3 requests to work on) but at this point in my life it is the change that I really needed to make.

Wow, I've made it to my 100 watcher milestone !! 
As mentioned a few weeks ago I am going to open up some free requests to celebrate reaching 100 watchers 
. I will be opening 5 slots and will be taking requests for both Canon and Original characters and the style, whether it be chibi/derp, full detail, speedpaint, backgrounds etc. will be up to me. I will leave this journal open for 1 week. After that week I will fill in the slots with those whos requests I will be taking

I will NOT draw the following:
- Humans (Humanoids should be ok)
- Genetalia
- Fetish Art
Rules and Terms (I hate to sound harsh but I need to put this out there):
- Watchers Only
- I will ABSOLUTELY NOT tolerate any whinging about the time it takes for me to finish requests - If you want me to go faster then throw some money at me.
- Even if I accept the request it is NOT guaranteed to be completed, shit happens sometimes - it's called life.
- You must copy :icon megustaplz: (without the space between the n and m) into your request comment so that I know you've read the rules. Any comment without this will be inelegible.
- Characters must have sufficient references for me to work with - I am not designing characters.
- If I do a request for you, you may use it for icons/avatars on DeviantArt/Facebook/Xbox Live/ whatever else tickles your fancy but you MAY NOT claim it as your own work and credit with a link to my profile must be attahed to any reuploads.
- I require creative freedom when it comes to this. Requests for specific poses, actions etc. will be ignored. Just give me the character and I'll see what I can come up with.

On the subject of free requests...

So some of you may have seen my little status post stating that I was going to open some free request slots when I reach 100 watchers (currently at 89).
I'm looking at loosening up my normal restrictions on requests and opening it up to OC's as well with no mandatory theming - the only two things that I will most likely restrict is Human characters cause drawing them tends to piss me off and genetalia cause you'll just get some weird badly drawn awkward shit there. The big question is however ... would you rather me open up just a couple of fully drawn, more detailed, take several weeks at least requests or like 5-10 (dependant) speedpaint style or even chibi/derp style which I can do in about 3-4 hours each in a good session.
Full Effort Style (only 2) :
Speedpaint Style (5-10 dependant on how I feel) :

In a few months I'll have to sit my bum down for 17 hours on what is currently the 4th longest flight in the world, and then another 7 hours after that. Although it's an overnight flight and I plan on putting myself to sleep with the complimentary onboard alcohol selection 
I really really struggle to sleep for more than a few hours while flying. I could make use of some of this time and work on a drawing or two perhaps but has anyone had any experience with this and is it worth trying? or more hassle than it's worth?

Looking at going in a new direction

It's kind of weird cause it all started off weith a weird dream I had - I want to look into designing my own creatures after I've finished my current project (I've actually got to the Lineart process finally xD). I won't be doing it in the format of adoptables as I want to enjoy the creation process without worrying that it's all going to become about the money/pageviews etc. Of course I'll still be doing Fanart as I love drawing my favourite characters but there might be some more original content inbetween
